Wherever you are in the world, wishing you a very happy holiday season with people you love and care about, from Billy Sheahan Photography!
It’s been a great year of producing creative images and filmmaking with clients and other talented artists at the various companies I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with. Thank you to everyone who wanted some Billy-ness in their projects.
I made this photograph for the University of Chicago during a snowstorm last winter. The assignment was one of my favorites of the year. Capture the winter beauty of the 122 year old University. “Do what you do. Photograph it like you would Paris.” It was a joy to run down to Hyde Park every time it snowed to discover the beauty all around me. The greatest luxury I can have as an artist is when I have the time to really explore and discover. Time to create. And that’s what I was given, over a month of Chicago snows. The thing I remember most about this particular day was how many times I had to stop and chip the ice off of my lens from the blowing horizontal snow. Beautiful, but my camera hated me that day.

Here’s to many beautiful images in our lives in 2014!
