Train week continues today with some perspective. In both the literal and figurative sense. Finding the right vantage point makes all the difference in how you see what’s in front of you.
As a photographer, it can be a little maddening to follow me around while shooting. Only because I tend to spend a lot of time surveying. Maybe waiting for a square to clear or have the perfectly distributed amount of people to balance the composition before I make a photograph.
Or I might circle around a little, looking to see where the light is coming from and if it’s creating anything interesting. Looking for the best angle. Sometimes it takes a little while.
And I think the same thing applies to life as well. I think it’s good to look at any challenge from a few different vantage points. Maybe consider a second and third option when the first thing that comes to you feels good but not great. Take a moment and walk around in it to see what else presents itself.
Put a nice wide lens on your life and expand your view. Sometimes that helps to clarify a distant horizon.
Any photographs from my blog and many others on my main billysheahan.com website, can be purchased as prints by clicking on the Buy Print button below each photo. Thanks to many of you who have already done just that. I greatly appreciate your kind support!
