I distinctly remember thinking we were all finished with the shoot. Anne Duffy and I had spent the afternoon photographing her at the 150 year old mansion of a long since gone sugar baron in the lovely small town of Todos Santos, Mexico. I was so happy with what we had created. And then Anne began poking around in her bag and pulled out a little black hand-crocheted something. A dress? Not quite. But wonderful.
We were definitely not finished. We walked the grounds of the mansion to a beautiful old wall that we thought would provide some nice contrast for this little nearly-a-dress thing. Ah, yes. perfect.
Anne has the most beautiful quality in her appearance. The term classic beauty is overused these days, but that’s how I would describe Anne. Beautiful haunting eyes and lovely brunette hair that contrasts in such a gorgeous way with her porcelain skin. Her posing ability is completely wonderful. She is an embarrassment of riches to photograph.
After our photographic encore, we did eventually call it a day, with an abundance of beautiful photographs. Thank you Anne for such a pleasurable collaboration!
