I was watching tv with my friend Jordan a few years ago, when, as often happened with us, I became more interested in how the lamp light she was sitting under was falling on her than the show we were watching.
Whenever we were in the middle of shooting and trying to come up with the next idea, Jordan would say, “I don’t know, let’s smoke about it.” And so we would.
And inevitably, the short break would lead to something interesting and wonderful. It was our favorite way to create. No defined plan to start with. Just two artists feeding off the energy of the other. Leaving room for discovery along the way.
