It seemed like a perfectly fine building. Some might even call it beautiful. A nice addition to Chicago’s skyline. And then he had to put his name on it. To use his vernacular, “Huge.” I guess we should have expected it. He does it on all his buildings. His ego trip.
But the name is just so big, in ALL CAPS no less, you simply can’t not see it. I think with his recent opinion spouting that many of us simply shake our heads at, it’s even more painful to see our city’s skyline marred with that name.
Especially in a photograph like this. Sure, it’s very tiny in the background, but every single perspective line is pointing to it. Even from an artistic standpoint, you simply can’t not see it.
Oh well. What are you going to do. It’s just proof that money can’t buy taste. But it sure can buy a ticket on the biggest ego trip.
