As much as I love to create in my studio, getting out on location, finding some amazing place to collaborate with an inspiring model, always brings something unknown to the process of creation. That was my experience shooting with the lovely Anne Duffy in a 150 year-old mansion in Baja, Mexico.
I was really looking forward to working with Anne. I had long been an admirer of her work. Sophisticated, alluring, beautiful and meticulous. And she was great fun to work with as well.
She brought along a few items of clothing that we thought we might use, including a beautiful jacket with beaded fringe. I sometimes encourage models to find something, an item of clothing or something else that they want to play with. The jacket turned out to be the perfect element as we discovered an old room on the second floor with a little balcony and glass doors.
I really loved the way the darkness of the jacket and her hair framed her beautiful face in such a lovely way. A wonderful afternoon with an inspiring muse.
