It was one of the last days of my current Paris stay. After a few weeks of photographing the City of Light almost exclusively at night, I decided to give myself the day off. Until I looked out the window of my apartment in Le Marais.
Incredible sky with threatening, yet beautiful clouds. My day off would have to wait. I couldn’t not go out and make some photographs in this compelling weather.
I was wandering towards the Seine, thinking I might shoot for a bit, cross the river and then relax in the Jardin du Luxembourg, one of my favorite places. When I approached Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge in Paris, I was treated to a beautiful display of Parisian architecture and sky.
I made a few photographs near this area, but this is one I haven’t shown publicly before. I love that the caption is already built-in to the image.
