Chicago’s psychotic early summer weather is a guarantee for amazing clouds. And rainbows. I was walking back to the studio tonight and looked east down Randolph toward Lake Michigan. An enormous rainbow. And apparently there is a pot of gold at Trump Tower this evening as well.
I only had my iPhone with me and raced the last block to grab a proper camera and get up to my roof, knowing it could all be gone in a minute. Sure enough, the rainbow was nearly gone.
However. All was not lost. In fact, the consolation prize was wonderful. From the roof I had a 360 degree view of some spectacular cloud acrobatics.
I turned 180 degrees to the West and my jaw dropped.
