I get a lot of questions about cameras, software, techniques and business practices related to my personal photography workflow from new photographers trying to find their way. I’m always happy to point them down the correct path whenever I have the time.
In that spirit, I’d like to point out a week-long series of free online courses based around Photoshop, Lightroom and related topics beginning on Monday, February 25th, 2013. The courses are hosted by CreativeLIVE. It’s called Photoshop Week and they’re offering 40 classes by 12 instructors over 6 days. A veritable learning marathon.
In a nutshell, CreativeLIVE is an online webinar teaching company out of Seattle, Washington in the U.S., and they offer free live courses on a variety of photography and related topics. You can tune in free during the live webcast (and you can watch a rebroadcast of the day’s event in the evening/overnight), or you can purchase classes to watch whenever you want. On a budget, watching the free classes while they’re happening is pretty cool.
Anyway, I watch them from time to time whenever I see an interesting topic I’d like more information on and when I noticed Photoshop Week, I thought I’d pass on the link to their calendar of events, and a short video intro below.
If you’re interested in any of them, it’s easy to sign up for a free account and tune in whenever you want and watch without spending any money. They stream via UStream, so you can watch on pretty much any desktop computer, iPad, iPhone, Android or other mobile device. I like to send the classes from my iPad to my AppleTV for comfortable couch learning.
You can always purchase any classes for later viewing and download and CreativeLIVE usually offers a deep discount if you buy on the day or days of the original live webcast.
I am not affiliated with CreativeLIVE in any way. Just passing on some useful information.
