It’s been a wonderful 2012 here at Billy Sheahan Photography thanks to all the great artistic collaborations and support from so many of you. I feel very fortunate indeed.
I’d like to share a holiday greeting with you via a short film I shot and edited for the University of Chicago this year called “Reflect the Light of the Mind.” It was a month and a half in the making, involving multiple cameras shooting time-lapse photography over many days at the iconic Rockefeller Memorial Chapel which serves as a gathering and event meeting place for the entire University and the neighborhood of Hyde Park.
I hope you enjoy it and that you have a lovely and reasonable holiday season this year!
Built in 1928, Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the University of Chicago is an iconic symbol and central meeting place for students, faculty, alumni and the general public. This time-lapse video, produced for the University’s Alumni Relations and Communications Development was created over many shooting days with multiple cameras in October 2012. Each shot of a few seconds represents hours of actual shooting time.
Photographed and edited by Billy Sheahan, “Reflect the Light of the Mind,” is a beautiful piece representing time, illumination, and community.
